How To Be A Radio Superstar.

You can be a Radio Superstar...on your nails! Yes, and this is a fantastic one for New Years! It's called Radio Superstar by Icing. So you can pick this up at your nearby Icing store for about $4.50. If you don't have one of these stores nearby, you can find them online. But you won't get it in time for New Years. That's no fun.
My sweet 12-year-old son got me this for Christmas because he knows I love the sparkly ones and the colors used here are beautiful!
I put it over a single coat of What Film Noir You In? by Sephora by OPI hoping to showcase the turquoise micro glitter and fuchsia glitter. There are also silver stars in there! This is What Film Noir You In? (A gift from my oldest. She knows my love for purple:) I think it's part of the Tinsel Town Collection.
Two coats. (Lighting really changes the color, doesn't it?)
It has it's own superfine micro shimmer as you may notice above. Here's two coats of Radio Superstar over white.
The only way I could get a star was to have the bottle upside down for awhile. And I only got one! Ha ha ha!
See you next time! Taniya

Fergie's New Years Kiss

Here it is the end of December and you're thinking, "What am I to wear on my nails for New Years?" Well, maybe you're not thinking that but you should be! With all the cool and amazing shades to choose from, believe me, you can find one you'll be crazy over. No Plain Jane nails either. They must be PARTY nails! Maybe even have some confetti on them! Here is one answer to your New Years nail quandary...New Years Kiss from the Fergie Collection by Wet n Wild.
This is just one coat. It's a clear base with two sizes of bar glitter that is iridescent (Fun!) and silver micro glitter.
See those colors? There's your confetti! Here's two coats.
A bit closer.
Now just imagine how great it will look over practically any color! Those will be some great dance-all-night nails! See you next time, Taniya

Snowman Nails!

Just a quick post to show you guys my Christmas Eve nails. Like everyone else during this time of year, I've been busy, busy. But I squeezed in some time first thing this morning to paint these snowman nails I saw on Pinterest.
These are all the polishes I used. The glittery silver by Pure Ice in Beeware, the orange (for his little carrot nose) is Sinful Colors in Clementine, red (for the scarf) is Sinful Colors in Ruby Ruby, and finally Sally Hansen's nail art pen in Black. Of course you can use any old white polish you have on hand for the snow.
It doesn't look like I'm going to have a white Christmas, but here's hoping some of you will be able to build a REAL snowman! I'll just have to be satisfied with the one on my nails. Ha ha ha! May you all have a wonderful Christmas! Taniya

Sinful Colors Under 18

This is Sinful Colors Under 18, an orange-ish red that makes me think of Autumn. It also has a golden micro shimmer. This is just one coat!
Now I put some gold shimmer on the tips for fun. I made two skinny and two a bit wider so you can decide which you like better for your nails! I think I like it with a wider gold tip.
For the gold tip I used Milani in Gold Glitz. I love this glitter because it's very dense and only needs one coat!
One coat each means you'll be done with these nails and out the door in no time! Thanks for stopping by! Taniya

Pahlish!

Hi Friends! I'm super happy to tell you guys about this fun nail polish line called Pahlish. They are all hand mixed by Shannon Pahlas and can be ordered through Etsy. I don't own any yet but I have a great friend (dear, sweet Heather :) who is even crazier about nail polish than me (amazing, I know!) and has so many super fun nail colors that she lets me come over and have a nail painting party with her! Which is really wonderful for all of you who read this little bloggie blog because you get to see a much greater variety than I alone have to offer. She introduced me to this line and somehow knew I would love these two I put on today.

First I put on three light layers of Ace of Fours on the left. It has a sheer, soft white base with faint silver shimmer, blue micro flakes, and sparse iridescent charcoal micro flakes.
On the top is Marbles on Glass. This one has a clear base with hexes, bars, squares, and round black matte glitter with a tiny bit of multi-colored microshimmer. I put on one coat.
If you would like to follow her Facebook page you can click here to get re-stock information. Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day!! Taniya

China Glaze Fig

It's getting very close to Thanksgiving around these parts so I thought I would show you a pretty color that I think is great for Fall! Jewel-toned nails are lovely for Fall and I've got this purple one by China Glaze called Fig that I love. Of course it's purple so it kind of figures, right?

This is in the sun and I know they could be neater but I hurried because my injured little doggie was calling me! Ha ha ha! Check out my other blog here if you don't know her story.
Here's a label shot for you.
How about adding a little extra sparkle for your holiday get-together? Just put some silver or gold on the tips and you're set!
Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by! Taniya

Essie Breast Cancer Awareness Collection 2012

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness month and Essie released four new pinks just for the occasion!
I got this photo from their Facebook page so you guys can see. From left to right they are: "We're in it Together", "Check-Up", "Good Morning Hope", and "I Am Strong". How about wearing pink on your nails everyday during the month of October?
Maybe you have 31 of your own pinks and won't have to buy a single one. Show me your pink nails by posting in the comments. I would love to see them!! Have a super pink day! Taniya

Wet n Wild Fergie Collection

This one is Hollywood Walk Of Fame from Fergie's collection with Wet n Wild. This one is clear with multi-colored stars and little tiny glitter and sticks (or rods).
So I used a colored base so everything could be seen easier.
A little closer.
These stars are pretty big! The only thing that bothers me is that they're so big that even with a clear coat over them, the stars still stick up a bit and get caught up on hair, sweaters, etc. Other than that (and maybe that doesn't bother you one bit) these are great! Here's some close-ups for you.
Look at all those stars!
Keep in mind that you can take swipe after swipe of this and just get clear polish because the stars are heavy and sink to the bottom section of the bottle. So I would put the lid on and turn it upside down. Then stars would cling all over the brush and I'd get a better chance of getting several on my nail. Happy painting and have a colorful day! Taniya

Wet n Wild Fergie Collection

Have you heard? Or maybe seen the magazine ads? If not let me be the first to tell you that Stacy Ann Ferguson, known to you and me as Fergie of that fabulous singing group The Black Eyed Peas, has introduced her very own collection of nail colors. Pretty exciting!
The collection features 24 shades with cool, funky names that Fergie was "particularly excited to name." Today I'll be showing you Kaleidoscope Eyes. A clear polish with  turquoise-blue, silver, and gold little hexagons.

I just put it over this blue polish I love but it would look great over other colors too. Oh! I have to show you the brush. It's flat and wide but not too wide so it glides on great!
And here's a side shot.
You can pick these up at your local drugstore for about $3.49. I got a few more from this collection that I'm excited to show you so click this! If any of you out there have picked up one of these be sure to show me how you rocked it! See you soon. Taniya

New Victoria's Secret Nail Lacquers

Guess what Victoria's Secret has done? Yep, you guessed it, they made a new nail polish line!

They've made others before, such as the  Very Sexy line, and also the Beauty Rush line. Also some called Nail Pop. In this little collection, which is in stores now, there are 6 colors only. They are a whopping
$15.00 each and my local store has only gotten in "the pink ones". But the nice girl who answered my call said they should have them all in before Christmas. So far, this is the only photo I've found of them (which is on their Facebook page) and two of them cannot be seen at all. They all look rather frosty, which seems to be popular for this fall. So if you happen to get your hands on one of these babies, feel free to share a photo and let us know some details! Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day! Taniya

Maybelline Color Show

Today I picked up one of the Maybelline Color Show Denims. There are two in this little set, Denim Dash, which I am showing you today, and Styled Out, which I have not yet gotten.
This is one coat of the Denim Dash, and look how matte it is. This was a surprise! The sparkles you see shimmering in the bottle, don't look sparkley once on your nail.
Does it really match my jeans?
Not really! But that's okay because this is a really great color. And if you don't want it to be matte you can always put a clear coat on.
So if you want to give it a try, this is "Denim Dash 10". Have a colorful day! Taniya
