Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Color + Care claims to be a breakthrough nail color that let's your nails breathe. It's supposed to hide nail imperfections and leave a porcelain finish. Today I have two from this collection of 8 barely-there colors. This is Sorbet and Fog.
"Enhanced with ginseng, camellia oil, and lotus to promote stronger, healthier nails", says their website. Sounds fancy!
This polish is also promising to let 20% more oxygen through to your nails. More fanciness. I don't know how one would ever know if our nails were benefitting from all of this but it sure sounds good!
By the way, these are two of the polishes from the infamous basket from the nail polish party! If you didn't see that post click on this .
Two coats and these babies were pretty nice and smooth, I must say. And I think I could hear my nails breathing a little easier. Wink! Until next time, Taniya

Essence Surfer Babe Nail Polish

This is one of a collection of four polishes that came out for the summer of 2010. This is called The World's Coolest.
Now, I would have blogged about this long ago but I didn't know about them. It's an interesting story how I got this one. But first I'll tell you about this polish. First of all, it's made in Luxembourg, which is a little country in Western Europe. A cool little anecdote.
It's a lovely light blue/green cream polish that is similar to Orly's Gumdrop.
I had to use three coats to get it opaque even though it goes on kind of thick. Go figure.

So I came across this polish at a party...a nail polish exchange party! I have a friend who is also crazy about nail polish, even more than me, and she had this brilliant idea to have this exchange party and this is how it works. Everyone is to bring any and all nail polishes they own that they no longer want, old or new, any colors. Once at the party you dump them in a big basket with everyone else's. If you brought eight polishes, you would then be allowed to pick any eight out of the basket that you liked to take home. So this polish is one I picked from the basket, along with many others that I must blog about soon. But, I warn you, they may be old like this one! Ha ha! Thanks for stopping by and I hope that maybe this nail polish party will be right up your alley and you, too will have a super fun time having one because I sure had a blast being the guest of one! Oh yes, everyone also painted their nails at this party. The icing on the cake you might say! Have an awesome day! Taniya

Island Girl Polish in Royal Hawaiian

Here's the other Island Girl polish I promised! Didn't I tell you it was super duper summery?

Royal Hawaiian is a bright, neon pink that took just two coats for opacity.
How great would this be for your toes this summer? Oh my goodness, it's so pretty!
My daughter used it on her nails too but also added some sparkle.
She used this L.A. Colors polish in Sparkling Diamonds.
And this one from the Wet N Wild Fergie Collection in New Years Kiss. So either way you do it, you'll have some bright, colorful nails that are bound to get noticed! Thanks for stopping by! Taniya

Island Girl Hawaii

Big Island Volcano is a bit of a green turquoise that covers nicely in two coats.
Of course I LOVE it! I haven't seen these anywhere in So. Cal. but my wonderful pal-sey picked a couple up for me in Vegas. What a sweetie!
So be on the lookout for my next blog posting of the other color she got. Hint: It's SUPER summery. Hurray!

Have a colorful day, friends! Taniya

Easter/Spring Nails

If you like your nails to be a simple solid color with no decorations for your springtime gatherings, check out these pretty colors.
Sally Hansen's Lacey Lilac with one of my flowers of the same color. In the sun.
And in the shade.
Sinful Colors in Cinderella.
With this color you have to be patient because it takes three coats to get good coverage.
This is Revlon's Charismatic. Love this one! A one coat genius!
Last but not least, (because I love, love, LOVE this color) my pathetic attempt at making a bunny. This is Gumdrop by Orly. Super pretty bluey-green! Happy Easter!! More Spring colors to come. Taniya

Sally Hansen Lacey Lilac

By now you all know of my love of purple. Well, Lacey Lilac is a lovely shade and great for spring! It's from Sally Hansen's Hard as Nails Xtreme wear line. I didn't have one but my friend had TWO, so she gave me one. Hurray!
This was in the bright sunshine. (It matches my flowers :)

And this is in the shade.

Then I added some sparkle. This amazing O.P.I. with rainbow bar glitter has TONS of glitter so one coat is all you need. It's called Save Me.
Hey, the Lacey Lilac would be great for Easter and it's just around the corner! Happy Spring!! Taniya

Valentine's Day Nails!

I know this is too late to use this year but I had such a crazy busy few days, I couldn't blog for awhile. But these are what I ended up doing yesterday (good ol' Valentine's Day) on my nails.

These are the colors I used.

From left to right: Sinful Colors in Unicorn, Skin Food in PK004, Jordana in White, Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Lacey Lilac, and Revlon in Minted. I hope your Valentine's Day was full of hugs and flowers and, most importantly, Love!! Taniya

Zoya Nail Polish

If you read on my other blog that I got some Zoya Nail Polish for free, you read right! They only offer the deal once a year so check out my other blog here to learn more about it. These are the ones I chose. This is Trixie (the silver) and Zuza.
I think they look good together.
And Trixie again with Areetha.
Again, a good combination because silver is great for that!
Here's a better look at Trixie.
Each of these polishes went on smooth and easy. These are one coat photos. I hope your day is beautiful! See you soon! Taniya

Sweet Baby James

Indie nail polish company Whimsical by Pam has created a color called Sweet Baby James. With a milky, gel, blue base and pink, blue, and white square glitter and small white round glitter it is a 'sweet' color combination! It goes on a bit gloppy, as the glitter sticks together, so is difficult to smooth out. But it's just so darn cute who cares?
This is two coats. It's a bit sheer so three would do the trick.
Check out that cute little bow!
Can you imagine putting those bows on every bottle?
She has a Facebook page with info for ordering and she just came out with some for Valentine's Day! Check it out here. Here's hoping your Saturday has been very 'sweet'! And thank you to my sweet friend for letting me borrow your bottle :)  Taniya

Sinful Colors I Miss You

This is a pretty, sheer pink-ish purple with lots of glitter! This is two coats.
This is one I got for Christmas (thanks Dawn!) and I really like this shade. It's called I Miss You.
Look at that multi-colored glitter!
Very similar to Frenzy by Sinful Colors. Check it out.
Frenzy is a blue-er purple. On the right.
Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day! Taniya
