Candy Crush Nails and What a Pansy

Have you ever seen an advertisement on fingernails? Apparently it's the latest thing, and the Candy Crush game folks decided to hire a Diamond Girl (a type of Japanese model) named Harutamu to have the games' candies stuck all over her nails for publicity.
Wow! I think it would be very difficult to do anything with all those on my hands! It might even make me crave candy all day. Not good!
I don't mean to be a "pansy" but I think I'd like to stick with something more like this...
This is China Glaze in What a Pansy
This lovely periwinkle creme is one of twelve new colors from the Spring 2014 City Flourish Collection.
There are some great colors in this collection that I will hopefully get my hands on soon! Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day! Taniya

Memorial Day Nails

Just a quick post to show you what I did on my nails for Memorial Day weekend.
The blue is Maybelline Color Show in Denim Dash. If you want to do an accent nail, just use any white you have.
The stars on top is from the Wet n Wild Fergie Collection in Hollywood Walk of Fame. I've blogged about both of these before but I think they're cute together for a patriotic holiday!
The stars are gold, red, blue, and a light purple color so I did my best to keep the purple ones from getting on my nails but I think a couple got on anyway. Ha! I hope you have a very meaningful Memorial Day and that you will remember it's the 70th anniversary of D-Day that we are recognizing, and that we lost over 400,000 troops during World War 2. Enjoy your family and your barbecue and thank a veteran! Have a wonderful weekend!!

Essie Bikini So Teeny

This one has been around awhile, it's from the 2012 summer collection, and it's one of my favorites but I've never blogged about it. I have no idea why! So today is the day and I hope you love it as much as I do.
This is the lovely Bikini So Teeny by Essie
As you can see, I added some polka dots in white and some silver sparkle.
Isn't this such a happy color?!
Thanks for stopping by and have a colorful day! Taniya

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect

Sally Hansen Smooth and Perfect Color + Care claims to be a breakthrough nail color that let's your nails breathe. It's supposed to hide nail imperfections and leave a porcelain finish. Today I have two from this collection of 8 barely-there colors. This is Sorbet and Fog.
"Enhanced with ginseng, camellia oil, and lotus to promote stronger, healthier nails", says their website. Sounds fancy!
This polish is also promising to let 20% more oxygen through to your nails. More fanciness. I don't know how one would ever know if our nails were benefitting from all of this but it sure sounds good!
By the way, these are two of the polishes from the infamous basket from the nail polish party! If you didn't see that post click on this .
Two coats and these babies were pretty nice and smooth, I must say. And I think I could hear my nails breathing a little easier. Wink! Until next time, Taniya

Essence Surfer Babe Nail Polish

This is one of a collection of four polishes that came out for the summer of 2010. This is called The World's Coolest.
Now, I would have blogged about this long ago but I didn't know about them. It's an interesting story how I got this one. But first I'll tell you about this polish. First of all, it's made in Luxembourg, which is a little country in Western Europe. A cool little anecdote.
It's a lovely light blue/green cream polish that is similar to Orly's Gumdrop.
I had to use three coats to get it opaque even though it goes on kind of thick. Go figure.

So I came across this polish at a party...a nail polish exchange party! I have a friend who is also crazy about nail polish, even more than me, and she had this brilliant idea to have this exchange party and this is how it works. Everyone is to bring any and all nail polishes they own that they no longer want, old or new, any colors. Once at the party you dump them in a big basket with everyone else's. If you brought eight polishes, you would then be allowed to pick any eight out of the basket that you liked to take home. So this polish is one I picked from the basket, along with many others that I must blog about soon. But, I warn you, they may be old like this one! Ha ha! Thanks for stopping by and I hope that maybe this nail polish party will be right up your alley and you, too will have a super fun time having one because I sure had a blast being the guest of one! Oh yes, everyone also painted their nails at this party. The icing on the cake you might say! Have an awesome day! Taniya

Island Girl Polish in Royal Hawaiian

Here's the other Island Girl polish I promised! Didn't I tell you it was super duper summery?

Royal Hawaiian is a bright, neon pink that took just two coats for opacity.
How great would this be for your toes this summer? Oh my goodness, it's so pretty!
My daughter used it on her nails too but also added some sparkle.
She used this L.A. Colors polish in Sparkling Diamonds.
And this one from the Wet N Wild Fergie Collection in New Years Kiss. So either way you do it, you'll have some bright, colorful nails that are bound to get noticed! Thanks for stopping by! Taniya
